My Mavic 2 has stayed in my bag since the day I got it. It's my favorite drone to travel with and has consistently delivered high-quality images in many different flights. Let's learn about my favorite travel and everyday drone, that delivers serious quality, the Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom drones!

  • 1-inch Hasselblad Sensor (Pro)
  • 10-bit D-log-M Color Profile
  • 4k 10-bit HDR Video
  • Occusync 2.0
  • 31 minutes of flight time

Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom Review Introduction

The Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom is a fantastic release from DJI. I've been using one for over a year and a half now (I'm writing this article later!) and it has been my favorite drone that I take with me every day and use to film 75% of all drone shots anymore!

I use the Mavic 2 Pro, since it has the 1 inch sensor like my Phantom 4 Pro (which I only use 25% of the time now). It can pick up a lot of light at night, and captures great colors and detail during the day time.

Traveling with the Mavic 2 Pro

The best camera is the one you have with you! That is definitely true, and this drone is a shining example of that. I tend to keep this drone in my backpack that I take to work everyday, and since I always have a drone on me with multiple batteries - capturing a great moment is as easy as taking my drone out of my back pack!

If you're coming from a Phantom, where the drone can't fold up - you're in for a real treat. Carrying around a phantom can get cumbersome and heavy after a while. With the Mavic series of drones, I don't even notice it's in my backpack. Well, unless you carry around 4 extra batteries like I do. Then the weight might add up! But if you're carrying the drone, 1-2 batteries and the remote, you'll barely notice the weight in your backpack. Trust me, I took my phantom across Europe, and the next year the Mavic series drones came out. I purchased one and went on a trip, the difference was night and day when it came to packing and lugging around a drone!
